GERALD T. BERRY Attorney at Law Gerald (Jerry) Berry is a Florida native. Originally from Miami, he moved to Naples in 1981. He graduated from the University of Florida, Magna Cum Laude in 1976 (Phi Beta Kappa) and from Florida State University College of Law in 1979. After law school he served as an Assistant State Attorney for five years. In 1984, Mr. Berry went into private practice and has been defending the Constitution and the wrongfully accused ever since. As a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, his practice is limited to criminal defense. Mr. Berry is a past president of the Collier County Bar Association, founder and past president of the Collier County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and is a past president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Mr. Berry has been selected by Florida Trend Magazine as one of “Florida’s Legal Elite”, and a “Super Lawyer” by Florida Super Lawyers’ magazine, and is A.V. Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Berry has also received the Donald VanKoughnet Lion of the Law award. This award is presented to attorneys who demonstrate excellence in legal skills, professionalism and public service. Mr. Berry is presently a Board member of The Florida Innocence Project. Mr. Berry is very active in a variety of community activities. He has been a Board member of various non-profit organizations.
